Biodiversity Walk March 2016
Early in the month, I take a walk where I try to find as many species as possible. Here are some of today’s finds– at least the ones where the pictures turned out okay, and/or I could identify the subject!
Other creatures I saw today were American Crows, Turkey Vultures, and a Ground Skink, some dragonflies and damselflies that I couldn’t capture in pixels.
I wish I knew why I can’t view these slide shows, either on my laptop or my iPhone. And every time I see your “east-Texas” tag I get Marty Robbins in my head, even though I know he was singing about *west* Texas . . .
Oh, my husband just made up a version of the Marty Robbins song El Paso, for a newsletter I put out for our neighborhood in the Hill Country, and it was really funny, but I had that song stuck in my head for days!
Sometimes I do the pictures as a slide show, because I remember a WordPress helpful hint about the post taking less time to load that way. And I checked it on my laptop after I published, and it was fine, but after reading your comment, I checked it on a mobile device too, and it took FOREVER to load! But I had just noticed the other day that when I read a post with a gallery in it through email, I see each picture in its entirety instead of just the random mix of sizes that shows up in a gallery. SO none of those picture in my post were anything phenomenal, but if you followed me by email too, maybe you would be able to see them. Except now that email has sailed, so you wouldn’t get it anyway.
But now I will not be as quick to do a slide show. I don’t like the fact that you can’t click on individual pictures to see them larger, either.
Great photos, all. Your butterfly captures are exquisite!!
Wonderful photos…you and your camera are coming along really nice.
