Mystery Bird Revealed
Did you guess the bird in yesterday’s post?
Here it is, the ordinary Great Blue Heron. Normally I see it walking along the edge of the water, but one day I saw one perched high above me in a pine tree. The unusual angle made the bird look like some sort of odd raptor/owl mix.

This is not the first time I have caught Great Blue Herons looking just goofy. I am glad I get to see them often enough to see various aspects of their appearance and behavior!
