Tonight’s Performance
Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight we are honored to bring you… (cue music from “Rocky.”)
Vultro il Magnifico!
Defying death while he perilously balances on the frailest of fallen logs…
Risking wing and feather near the raging water’s turbulent edge. Can he do it!!???
Yes! He dips his head and sips the water!!

Unfortunately for his audience, he did his drinking on the far side of the log, blocking the audience’s view.
He takes a bow. “Thank you! Thank you very much!”

We don’t get to see this kind of vulture. Ours are just turkeys. The first part of this blog post shows a few at our local reservoir.

We have about equal numbers of black vultures and turkey vultures. The black ones don’t have a sense of smell! So they watch the turkeys to see where they go, and “share” their find. I don’t know how the turkeys feel about that! And then I have seen just one caracara chase off a whole band of the vultures!

That video is just the song. My friend Ken Kramm used it in a longer video, and it comes in at 1:18: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3mHIm0nNj4
Ken’s video has a lot of photographs and footage, not just the cover of the album.
Well…that song and 2nd video were certainly different. Thanks for sharing. :-8 or is it 😎 ?
